Virender Sehwag

The former Indian opener will be leading our team this season. Known for his hand immense hand-eye coordination and swashbuckling approach, he has scored over 4,000 runs in his T20 career with an impressive strike rate of nearly 148. He is also calm customer on the field and his demeanour will be crucial while navigating tough situations on the field. ‘Viru’ as he is affectionately called, is also a more than capable off-spinner and can roll his arm over whenever the team needs it.

Chris Gayle

The ‘Universe Boss’ is widely regarded as the greatest player in T20 cricket, and the stats back him up too. He has amassed nearly over 14,500 runs worldwide in this format at an impressive strike rate of more than 144. He will partner with captain Sehwag at the top of the order and can be assured some fireworks in the powerplay. He can take the game away from the opposition with the bat, but his bowling is also quite handy.

Mitchell McClenaghan

The Kiwi left-arm pacer is a well-travelled T20 pacer, with more than 24 scalps to his name. He was a key member of the multiple-time IPL champions, Mumbai Indians. His key strengths are his aggression, pace and bounce, but he also bowls an effective slower ball.

Lendl Simmons

A veteran in the T20 format, Simmons has scored nearly 8,000 runs in his T20 career. He has contributed to IPL titles for Mumbai Indians and played a key role in West Indies winning the 2016 World T20. He is a versatile batter and can fit in easily at either the top or in the middle order.

Graeme Swann

At the top of his game, Swann was one of the most cunning exponents of finger spin, and he will once again look to use his guile to flummox batters. Swann is also a handy batter lower down the order, so he can provide some hefty blows if required.
