The Ultimate Kho Kho League Season 1 is all set to enter the playoffs phase with the Gujarat Giants being the first ever team to qualify. It has been an incredible season so far for the Giants, with some fantastic performances delivered.
Out of the blocks like a flash!
The Giants announced their entry into the league with a bang as they scored 69 points to defeat the Mumbai Khiladis in the league opener. Carrying their stupendous form forward, the team went on to defeat Odisha Juggernauts by scoring 54 points and further limited Mumbai Khiladis to 48 points to complete their hat trick of wins, which powered the team to reach the top of the points table.
The Giants faced a setback when they lost consecutive matches against Odisha and Chennai. However, despite the defeat, the team managed to gather one point in each of the matches.
Bouncing back from a couple of setbacks!
The comeback was stronger than the setback, as the Giants secured their place in the playoffs shortly thereafter. In the next two matches, against Telugu Yoddhas and Chennai Super Guns, the team scored 51 and 50 points respectively and this helped them become the first team to have fixed their spot in the playoffs of the first ever season of Ultimate Kho League.
On course for the ultimate trophy!
The Gujarat Giants kho kho team has won hearts with their performances, and the team has proved its mettle repeatedly by turning unfavorable circumstances into its favor.
