After taking a longer and harder road to get into the finals, our Giants have sealed their place in the finals of the VIVO PKL 6. We are the only new franchise of Pro Kabaddi to enter into back to back finals. We achieved this feat after knocking out the team which was on an 8-match unbeaten streak in season 6 in the semi-finals. Our Giants took care of business as they asserted their dominance on the crumbling UP Yoddha. We started the game with caution and finished it similarly when UP Yoddha made a surge in the final 2 minutes of the game. Sachin Tanwar once again showed why he is one the top raiders in the league as he quickly raced off to 6 early points for himself. Our defence came into play in the game from the start, getting tackle points with some great ankle holds and teamwork.

We will face a similar foe in our finals match, a team which made us take the long road to make it back into the finals. Bengaluru Bulls made a comeback late into the game. We had a 6-point lead against them in our previous match, but it was the excellent raiding from Pawan Sehrawat that threw us off our game plan. That’s in the past now, it’s a new day and with the glory of being crowned the champions of season 6 our Giants will lay it out all.

When we go up against the potent offense of Bengaluru this time around our defence will be better prepared for them. Sunil Kumar and Parvesh Bhainswal will be eager to prove why they have been the best defensive duo of season 6 and what better test to pass than stopping the top raider of this season in Pawan Kumar Sehrawat. Our Giants marched into the history books of PKL after punching our ticket to finals once again. Now we will look to create another history by lifting the trophy and becoming the first new team to win the cup.

Battle within Battle: Sachin Tanwar vs. Rohit Kumar

In the previous encounter, Rohit Kumar made the impact on the defensive end of the mat. Even though his impact was on the defensive end, he cannot be underestimated on the offensive end. His stats show his influence throughout the season on the offense for Bengaluru Bulls. Sachin Tanwar was excellent against the Bulls in Qualifier 1 gaining a Super 10. He has been very impactful for us in the offense scoring 194 total points. When he gets going for us, we are assured of a win. With two explosive raiders on each side, fireworks are to be expected.

Key Giants

Parvesh Bhainswal.

When you are going up against an offensive juggernaut like Bengaluru Bulls, your defence needs to bring their A game to the mat. Who better than the second-best defender of the season to stop them. Even though he wasn’t as effective in the Qualifier 1, Parvesh Bhainswal will play an essential role in preventing the top raider of PKL 6 making him an essential Giant.

Sunil Kumar

On the grandest scale of Pro Kabaddi, when all eyes of the fans are set on you, our young captain will have to come through and announce himself to the league. Despite a bad performance against Bengaluru in the first qualifier, Sunil Kumar bounced back with a better performance against the UP Yoddha in the second qualifier. With a shot at lifting the trophy, he will have to come through to prove why he and Parvesh Bhainswal are considered to be one of the best duos in PKL.
