After a tough first half of the season, the Gujarat Giants are bouncing back in style, registering back-to-back wins in the tournament. At the start, we struggled to find our rhythm, but now the team looks confident and back to winning ways. This win was much needed, but the journey ahead remains challenging. However, this victory over the Bengal Warriorz gives us a huge morale boost.

The game began with Guman Singh picking up a bonus point right away. Soon after, Mohit tackled Maninder Singh to make it 2-0 in quick time. The Warriorz responded with a tackle of their own, but Guman came back strongly with a super raid, pushing the score to 5-1 in our favor. The Warriorz, however, were determined and leveled the scores at 6-6. A brilliant super tackle by Himanshu Singh put us ahead again, making it 8-6. We continued to dominate as the score moved forward quickly.

The Warriorz weren’t giving up and clawed their way back into the game, eventually inflicting an all-out to tie the scores at 15-15. Both teams fought tooth and nail as the match turned into a thrilling contest. We managed to stay ahead with quick points, but the Warriorz matched us every step of the way.

At one stage, Bengal took the lead, but a timely super tackle from our defense turned the tide in our favor. The Warriorz responded with back-to-back points and inflicted another all-out to regain the lead. However, we showed great resilience as a successful raid by Guman Singh and a crucial tackle by Himanshu Singh leveled the scores. Himanshu’s next tackle gave us the lead, and an all-out in the dying moments sealed a dramatic win for us. The final score read 39-37 — a well-deserved victory for the Giants.

It was a fantastic team effort, with Guman Singh continuing his great form with another Super 10 and we are proud of our players for stepping up when it mattered. We aim to carry this momentum forward as our next match against Puneri Paltan is just around the corner on 29th November 2024. Stay tuned for another exciting battle!
