The wait is finally over!!! The Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 12 schedule has been announced. The PKL Season 12 will start on August 29, while Gujarat Giants will face U Mumba in their opening match at Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Vizag on Saturday, August 30.
The upcoming 12th edition of the Pro Kabaddi League will be held across four cities - Vizag (August 29 - September 11), Jaipur (September 12-28), Chennai (September 29 - October 12) and Delhi (October 13-23).
After commencing our PKL Season 12 campaign against Season 2 champions U Mumba, the Giants will take on Season 10 winners Puneri Paltan in Vizag on September 1. The Giants will later square off against Tamil Thalaivas in their third clash on September 6, and then face two-time champions Jaipur Pink Panthers on September 9, before concluding the Vizag leg against Dabang Delhi K.C. on September 11.
Following the Vizag leg, the Giants are scheduled to play three matches in Jaipur's Indoor Hall, SMS Stadium. This phase will begin against defending champions Haryana Steelers on September 15, followed by a game versus Bengaluru Bulls on September 22, before wrapping the Jaipur leg against Telugu Titans on September 23.
The Giants will then travel to Chennai to compete in five league matches to be held at the SDAT Multipurpose Indoor Stadium. As per the PKL Season 12 schedule, the two-time PKL finalists will start the Chennai leg against UP Yoddhas on September 29, followed by a reverse fixture against U Mumba on October 2, and later lock horns with Bengal Warriorz on October 4. The Giants will conclude their Chennai leg after facing UP Yoddhas and Dabang Delhi K.C. on consecutive days on October 9 and 10.
The final phase of the league stage will be staged in Delhi's Thyagaraj Sports Complex, where the Giants are scheduled to play their remaining five league stage matches.
The first match in this leg will be against three-time PKL champions Patna Pirates on October 14, and followed by an enthralling clash against Tamil Thalaivas on October 15. The Giants will then face Telugu Titans on October 19, and compete in their penultimate league game against Haryana Steelers on October 21. The Giants will conclude their league stage against Bengaluru Bulls in Delhi on October 23.
As many as 12 teams will compete in a total of 108 league stage matches. The PKL Season 12 Playoffs schedule will be announced on a later date.
