It's that time of the year again when the Pro Kabaddi League, all set for its 10th season, ignites the thrill among fans. The Gujarat Giants are going up against the Telugu Titans this Saturday, December 2, at the Arena by TransStadia in Ahmedabad. This marks a return to PKL matches in the Arena for the first time since 2019.

Last season, the Gujarat Giants narrowly missed the playoffs, but with a fresh squad and new talents, they're gearing up to unleash their best performance yet and contend fiercely for the championship.

The players acquired during the PKL X auction improves their aspirations. Notably, securing Fazel Atrachali, the league's best defender, stands out as the marquee buy. Atrachali has been named the captain, alongside the valuable addition of Mohammad Nabibakhsh, strengthening the team. Additionally, Rohit Gulia joins as the vice-captain, further enhancing the squad's depth.

Let's delve into some statistics - Fazel Atrachali leads the league with 424 tackle points, 35 points ahead of Manjeet Chillar. He is set to be the key player for the Giants this season. Meanwhile, Parteek Dahiya, who showed a lot of promise last season, aims to have an outstanding tournament this time around and help the Giants secure their first title.

On the other hand, the Telugu Titans, who have also not won the PKL title so far, form a strong side and can present a formidable challenge to the Giants.

Gujarat Giants, though have a superior record over the Titans, securing 7 wins out of the 8 matches they have played together. The Titans’ solitary victory against the Giants dates back to 2019, so it won’t be easy for the team from the South to upstage the Giants.
