We faced Dabang Delhi KC in our thirteenth match of PKL Season 12, delivering a spirited and high-intensity performance despite going down 39-33 at full time. The encounter was packed with drama, defensive heroics, and moments of brilliance, keeping fans on the edge of their seats till the final whistle.
Himanshu Singh was spectacular in attack, leading the Giants’ raiding department with an outstanding 11 raid points. His pace, timing, and ability to breach Delhi’s defensive wall breathed life into the team’s offence. On the other end, the defensive duo of Mohammadreza Shadloui and Himanshu Jaglan stood tall as the backbone of the side, pulling off 4 back-to-back super tackles at crucial junctures to deny Dabang Delhi KC repeated All-Out opportunities.
Both Shadloui and Jaglan completed their High 5s in pivotal moments that kept Gujarat in contention right till the closing stages. Throughout the contest, the team displayed immense mental strength and unwavering grit. From carefully planned raids to fearless tackles, every player contributed to keeping the scoreline tight and ensuring Delhi had to fight for every single point.
Even as the clock ran down and the deficit remained, the Giants pushed with all their energy, refusing to give up until the very last controversial raid.
This match marked the end of the Chennai leg for us. A memorable and valiant effort by our boys and we hope to keep the spirits high in the upcoming Delhi leg too.
