Gujarat Giants acquired 12 players on Day 2 of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 Player Auction in Mumbai on Sunday, June 1.
Iranian star all-rounder Milad Jabbari was our first buy on the second day of the PKL Season 12 auction after we signed him for INR 13.60 lakh.
All-rounder Nitin Pawar became the second addition to the squad for INR 13.70 lakh.
Among other players from Category C, we snapped up Rohit Kumar as our third buy of the day for INR 13 lakh.
We further bolstered our squad with the inclusion of Lucky Sharma for INR 19.50 lakh and solidified our defence as we added left cover defender Shubham Kumar for INR 27.40 lakh.
All-rounder Himanshu Yadav was our sixth acquisition on Day 2 after we bought him for INR 9 lakh.
Sumit and Amit were our next two buys from Category D to strengthen our defence courtesy of successful bids of INR 9 lakh for each of them. Among other players from Category D, we signed raider K Harish for INR 9 lakh.
From Category C, we acquired the services of all-rounder Visvanth V for INR 13 lakh, and later added Indian kabaddi star Ajith V Kumar to our raiding unit for INR 36.30 lakh.
Raider Ankit was our final addition to our squad after we bought him for INR 9 lakh.
Earlier on the opening day of the PKL Season 12 auction, Iranian all-rounder Mohammadreza Shadloui hogged the limelight after we purchased him for a whopping INR 2.23 crore, the most expensive player of the auction.
Our 13 Giants from the two-day PKL Season 12 auction will join our five retained players - raiders Himanshu Singh, Parteek Dahiya, Rakesh Sungroya, Shridhar Ananda Kadam and right corner Himanshu Jaglan as we aim to clinch our maiden PKL title in the upcoming season.
