We endured a challenging outing in our second PKL12 clash, going down 41-19 to Puneri Paltan. Despite the scoreline, the spirit within the Giants camp remained intact, with a few bright sparks to carry forward into the upcoming fixtures.

Rakesh Sungroya led the charge in attack, showcasing his sharp raiding skills to notch up six raid points. On the defensive front, Shubham Kumar stood tall, pulling off three solid tackle points, including a super tackle on opposition skipper Aslam Inamdar in the first half. These individual performances were reminders of the potential our squad is armed with, even on an off day.

The contest highlighted key areas to improve and with a four-day break before facing Tamil Thalaivas, we now have the opportunity to regroup, reflect and return stronger.

Under the guidance of Head Coach Jaivir Sharma and the leadership of captain Mohammadreza Shadloui, the team will look to turn the lessons from this defeat into sharper execution.

Every setback is a stepping stone and for this squad, it’s about building resilience and bouncing back with intent. Our Giants will return with renewed vigour when we step back on the mat on Saturday, September 6.
