The gavel’s down, the lights have dimmed, and one thing is loud and clear — the Gujarat Giants have built a squad designed for a statement season. If the TATA WPL 2026 Mega Auction in Delhi was a battle of strategy, the Giants walked out with intent in every move.
We set the tone early with a blockbuster signing — Sophie Devine for INR 2 Crore. Power, presence, and pure destruction: the perfect spark for a fiery new campaign. Soon after, India’s swing queen Renuka Singh joined the pride, ready to send stumps flying from ball one.
Then came the moments that hit home. Using our Right-to-Match (RTM) cards, we brought back fan favourites Kashvee Gautam and Bharti Fulmali, and completing a heartfelt circle, our ever-reliable left-arm asset Tanuja Kanwar returned to where she belongs — the Giants family.
The international artillery only got sharper. Georgia Wareham, Australia’s spin magician, Kim Garth legendary fast bowling all-rounder and the dynamic Danni Wyatt-Hodge add world-class depth around our retained pillars Beth Mooney and Ash Gardner.
Our Indian core got the spark with some brilliant sign to familiar face of wicket keeper batter, Yastika Bhatia, the experienced Rajeshwari Gayakwad, power hitter Kanika Ahuja and the returning our very own Tanuja Kanwar fortify every department.
We balanced star power with young hunger. The squad welcomed rising Indian talent — pace-bright Titas Sadhu and exciting uncapped prospects Ayushi Soni, Happy Kumari, and Shivani Singh — all boosting our depth for the upcoming TATA WPL season which kicks off on January 9th. .
This squad isn’t just assembled; it’s architected with clarity, courage, and ambition.
The Giants are set. The hunt for glory starts now.
Bring it on. 🧡
