Great news, everyone! We've clinched our first victory in the Women’s Premier League during our Delhi leg, triumphing over the Royal Challengers Bangalore. This win marks a significant milestone for us, putting us in a strong position and boosting our confidence for the rest of the tournament.

Winning the toss was a crucial start for us, and our skipper, Beth Mooney, along with Laura Wolvaardt, took full advantage by launching a brilliant assault on the bowlers. Wolvaardt's impressive fifty and Mooney's first-half century in the WPL set a solid foundation for us. However, despite aiming for a score above 200, Royal Challengers Bangalore fought back admirably, limiting us to 199.

When it was our turn to bowl, Bangalore started promisingly, with Smriti Mandhana looking threatening. But our bowlers, led by the talented Ash Gardner, managed to dismiss her and stem the flow of runs. We further dented their progress with crucial wickets, including a run-out and dismissals by Tanuja Kanwer and Gardner. Despite a late surge from Georgia Wareham, our determined efforts paid off, securing victory by 19 runs.

Ash Gardner's standout performance, along with Kathryn Bryce's economical bowling, played pivotal roles in our success. With our first win secured, our focus now shifts to maintaining our winning momentum. To stand a chance of qualifying for the Playoffs, we must continue our winning streak in the remaining matches.

Up next, we face a formidable opponent in the Mumbai Indians on Saturday. While they pose a tough challenge, we are ready to give it our all and continue our quest for success in the tournament. Stay tuned for another thrilling encounter as we aim to build on our recent triumph.
