As we enter the final stretch of the Women’s Premier League's second season, only two games remain in the league stage, and our focus has now shifted completely on our upcoming clash against UP Warriorz at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, New Delhi.

In our previous game against the Mumbai Indians, our team showcased a commendable batting performance. Led by skipper Beth Mooney and Dayalan Hemalatha, who both scored impressive fifties, we managed to post a competitive total. However, Mumbai Indians emerged victorious, largely due to the exceptional innings played by Harmanpreet Kaur, who scored a majestic 95.

Looking ahead, UP Warriorz pose a formidable challenge. In their recent match, they displayed their strength by defending a low score by a mere one run. Deepti Sharma played a pivotal role, contributing with both bat and ball, including a sensational hat-trick. Their current form suggests that they will be tough opponents to overcome.

Recalling our previous encounter with UP Warriorz, they secured a convincing victory, with Grace Harris leading the charge with a quickfire 60 runs. We managed to score 142 with the help of Ash Gardner and Phoebe Litchfield but it did not prove enough as UP chased down the score with ease. Despite the setback, we are optimistic about our chances and are determined to bounce back in the upcoming match.

Anticipation is building for what promises to be an electrifying contest. We are fully prepared to deliver an enthralling performance and are eager to reignite our playoff aspirations.
