
Our star batter Harleen Deol and fast bowler Kashvee Gautam have been selected in the India Women’s ODI squad for the upcoming tri-series against hosts Sri Lanka and South Africa.
Harleen and Kashvee have been named in the 15-member squad to be led by captain Harmanpreet Kaur.
Our young right-arm pacer Kashvee has earned her maiden national call-up after she impressed in the recently concluded TATA Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025 on her debut campaign with Gujarat Giants.
The 21-year-old was our leading wicket-taker in WPL 2025 with 11 scalps in nine matches at an average of 18.18 and an economy of 6.45. Among the Indian bowlers, Kashvee finished as the joint-highest wicket-taker in the tournament with Shikha Pandey.
Kashvee played a pivotal role in helping the “Team D” clinch the Senior Women’s Multi-Day Challenger Trophy recently concluded in Dehradun.
Our accomplished top-order batter Harleen Deol has also been included in the India Women’s ODI squad for the same tri series after emerging as one of the standout batters during the TATA WPL 2025.
The stylish right-handed batter was our third-highest run-getter in the tournament with 232 runs in nine matches at an average of 38.66 and a strike rate of 120.83.
Meanwhile, India will begin their Women’s Tri-Nation ODI series campaign against Sri Lanka on April 27. The Women in Blue will then face South Africa on April 29.
The Harmanpreet Kaur-led side will later take on Sri Lanka on May 4, before playing their final round-robin match against South Africa on May 7.
As per the schedule, each team will play the other two sides in a double round-robin format. The top two teams will qualify for the final to be played on May 11.
All matches of the upcoming Women’s Tri-Nation ODI series will be held at the R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
